Semantic classes of Russian inchoative za-verbs

Abstract: The article presents a classification of inchoative verbs of the Russian language, created from the material of a complete list of verbs that have the following interpretation in the Small Academic Dictionary: ‘start+ motivating verb’. On this array, four semantic classes of inchoative verbs are identified, their semantic and aspectual properties are considered.
