Semantics and selectional restrictions of the light verb pərak ‘throw’ in Poshkart Chuvash

Abstract. The article is dedicated to semantics and distribution of the light verb pərak ‘throw’ in Poshkart Chuvash. Author gives a detailed description of selectional restrictions of the light verb and actional properties of the formed complex predicates. Besides that, author suggests possible formal event-structure analysis of the constructions with pərak which would predict both established distributional properties of the light verb and its actional meaning.
